Title: You’re invited! Let’s just say the benediction!
Text: Ephesians 3:1-21
* God called all those who weren’t Jewish to be invited into relationship with Him
1) You are invited!
-the rules have changed/you’re invited
The most important work has already been done
2) Recognition of his(my) assignment?
-inviting people to the party(our job)
A. Equip the saints- love God and neighbor, discipleship, life intersections. Ephesians 4:11-13
B. Salvation- encourage relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit Hebrew 7:25
-invite them to the party
C. Kingdom building and connections Romans 14:17-19
-break down barriers that divide.
D. Facilitate the bridge between tradition and 21st century seekers-Psalms 145:4
-cross generations everyone invited everyone should feel included in the party.
-value the shoulders we stood on and also appreciate the new generation……generation gap.
3) Prayer-receive the benefits, sovereign God, faith in Jesus Christ, power of the Holy Spirit leads to love. Ephesians 3:14-19
-what if you were invited but not allowed to partake of the benefits.
4) Let’s just say the benediction? Expectation of God? Why?
Psalms 121:7 Romans 15:5-7 Romans 15:13. Jude 1:24,25 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13
-the first 3 chapters of Ephesians are the invitation the last 3 how to live.
-benediction is not the end it’s the beginning
-praising God for the blessing/praises in advance
*Benediction………declaring that God is going to do it!
